The Bishop Walsh School - Cumberland, MD

Bishop Walsh is an Archdiocesan school serving boys and girls from grades K through 12. Named for Bishop James Walsh, a Cumberland native and Maryknoll missionary to China, the school was begun in 1966 as a result of a merger of three girls' schools and La Salle, a boys' school conducted by the Christian Brothers since 1907. Students attending Bishop Walsh hail from western Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The school sits atop a small mountain and is the only Catholic high school within 70 miles.

Calvert Hall College - Baltimore, MD

The first permanent foundation of the Christian Brothers in the United States, Calvert Hall was established in 1845. Located in suburban Towson, Calvert Hall offers 1,200 young men a traditional college preparatory education. Among the many unique characteristics of Calvert Hall, are: A lecture/seminar format simulating college-level instruction; the McMullen Scholars Program, an honors program for gifted students; and, the La Salle Program assisting students with identified mild language and learning differences. An extensive campus renewal project is underway with the George B. Young academic building scheduled to open this fall.

The Cardinal Gibbons School - Baltimore, MD

An archdiocesan school since 1962, Gibbons formally combined its own rich tradition with that of the Baltimore District in 1997 when it was named an Affiliated Apostolate of the Lasallian network of schools. The school has dedicated itself to the community it serves and has been rewarded with steadily increasing enrollments. Although the school began its affiliation with the district with no Brothers on staff (two Brothers are currently serving), Cardinal Gibbons enthusiastically embraced its Lasallian connection, taking advantage of many District programs and welcoming a Lasallian volunteer into their midst.

Cardinal Gibbons provides a college preparatory education to a diverse student body of 375 boys in grades six to twelve.

La Salle Academy opened its doors to educationally and finacially at risk students in 2003. The school program is designed in the model of the Lasallian Association of Miguel Schools with extended school days, individualized attention and a required summer program. La Salle Academy was founded in St. Michael's Parish, the site of the Brothers' first ministry in Philadelphia. Planned to grow incrementally to become a school with grades three to eight by 2007-2008, La Salle Academy is a joint venture of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the Brothers of the Christian schools conducted under the auspices of an independent Board of Trustees.

Ocean Rest Educational Center - Ocean City, NJ

For several weeks each summer, Brothers conduct an educational program approved by the Ocean Rest Board. The Ocean Rest Summer School offers tutoring for both enrichment and remedial work in areas of Religion, English, Mathematics, Science, Languages and Social Studies. The school also offers programs in Study Skills, S.A.T. Preparation and High School Placement Tests. Saint Frances Academy - Baltimore, MD

Founded by the Oblate Sisters of Providence in 1828, St. Frances is the country's oldest Catholic school for African Americans still in existence. Located in rugged east Baltimore and in the shadow of a prison, the school provides 340 young men and women with a strong college preparatory education. San Miguel Middle School - Washington, DC

San Miguel Middle School was founded in 2002 to serve economically and educationally disadvantaged Latino boys in our nation's capital. Operated under the Board of Directors of St. John's College High School the school offers small classes, individualized attention, a required summer program, and an extended day program in the model of the Lasallian Association of Miguel Schools. The first class of eighth graders graduated in the spring of 2005 with many admitted to local Catholic high schools.
