The evening programming offered opportunities for the the students to examine social justice issues. Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh graciously hosted the event and even opened its doors for the evening poverty simulation program.
Three days of the program were given to service projects from working with the elderly to working the food line at a soup kitchen at ministries all over the greater Pittsburgh area. The final day of the program was given over to community building as participants broke into small groups to tour Pittsburgh or visit the amusement park or water park. Each day, as always, began and ended with prayer. Truly the gathering met the theme as the participants reached out to others and took part in the mission of the Gospel.
