Our Students
The San Miguel School is for students with the potential to handle the academic work of grades 6, 7, and 8 even though currently they might not be achieving at that level and who desire admission to a challenging program in high school.

The school will offer small classes, individualized attention, an innovative schedule and an extended school day (8:00 am to 5:00 pm).

Student Statements about San Miguel

"I came to San Miguel because my friend Michael came to this school.  He told me and my brother some of the good things they do.  In the summer, we have to go to summer school, but every day we go on trips."

 Gerald M., 7th Grade

"I came to San Miguel because I wanted to learn more math, science, and reading.  We leave San Miguel at 5:00 p.m.  It is good to come out of school at 5:00 p.m. because we get to learn a lot of things.  I like the summer program because we can learn math, reading, computers, and science.  On trips, we get to learn art.  Art is my favorite subject because they show you how to make clay.  On our trip to Sandy Hook, we learned about water and fishes.  My favorite sport is basketball because other kids show you how to play.  They show you the rules.  I am very glad to come to San Miguel."

 Luis R., 7th Grade

"I came to San Miguel because some of my friends came to San Miguel and some people told me to go to San Miguel because some of the other schools are not good.  My favorite subject is math, I know my adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division."

 Jonathan Z., 7th Grade

"It is great at San Miguel.  It is better than the other schools because we do many more activities at San Miguel.  You can play sports here.  I came because my mom told me it would be a great school.  During the summer, we do art at West Catholic, we go swimming, and we go to the beach."

 Jeffrey H., 7th Grade

"I came to San Miguel because my big brother came to this school.  I have lots of fun here.  I have many new friends.  I like going to the Stedman Gallery and we went on the sixth grade retreat last year."

 Joshua, 7th Grade
