Most of the students are far below grade level when they arrive and are at-risk of dropping out and of the other negative effects of poverty.
Graduates of the first two classes of the school that opened in 1997 are now in college, in the service, or on other positive tracks.
San Miguel provides enriched educational opportunities and a very supportive school environment to achieve these results.

It costs $75 to support a student for a day.
It costs $1,300 to support a student for a month.
It costs $13,000 to support a student for a year.
The contributed services of the Christian Brothers, Lasallian Volunteers, and Jesuit volunteers save the school over $215,000 in costs per year.
